Health & Safety Support
A fantastic opportunity has arises for an individual to join and strengthen our clients team of Health & Safety officers on a large project in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Health & Safety advisor you shall be responsible for the following:- - To monitor the implementation of the actions identified by the contractors / project to address the issues (daily checks). - To undertake inspections of construction worksites jointly with the contractor. - To review the reports of the inspections produced by the contractors. - To utilise the information included within the reports to monitor and report on the leading indicators that have been established for the project. - To undertake inspections of the construction worksites for compliance with the requirements of the Code of Construction Practice (daily checks). - To monitor the implementation of relaxations that have been raised on the Code of Construction Practice. - To assist in the review of contractors incident investigation reports and the monitoring of the actions identified by the contractors to address the issues. - To participate in the process of positive interventions that is implemented on the project. - To prepare information for inclusion within the Project Period Reports relating to contractor health and safety performance. - To work proactively with the health and safety teams on the project to raise the standard of health and safety performance across the project. Qualifications / experience:- - NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum). - 5 day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (preferred). - Experience of health and safety inspection / monitoring works on infrastructure construction projects. - Specific experience would be advantageous in utility works / railway works.
