Design - Create the next ebook cover for Pain-Free Daily
Organization name A Healing Journey Therapeutic Massage Description of the organization and its target audience I am a massage therapis/ healing arts practioner and Certifies Personal Trainer. I have owed this healing arts practice for 22 years. Besides basics Swedish Massage training we have had training in Trigger Point Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, and Prenatal. I have furthered my training by studying energy healing therapies and have recently become a Certified Personal Trainer. I have been part of a medical team for an international company for the past 17 years. This has offered us a lot of experience working with people who have repetitive use injuries. What sets me apart from many massage therapist/healing arts practitioners is that teach my clients self-care. I teach ergonomics, self-massage and stretching techniques through one-on-one sessions, public talks and workshops. My focus is to empower the individual through the knowledge of self-care. Industry Physical Fitness Description My intension is to make massage/self-care affordable to all. I have written an ebook entitled:Pain-Free Daily: A Computer User's Guide to Self-Careby Juana Ayers This is a write up I have for the ebook: "This ebook is a great resource for those of us who spend time in front of a computer. Have you ever wondered why you have a constant burning pain between your shoulder blades or that headache at the temples or base of skull? By understanding a few concepts such as: Ergonomics (working body posture), Muscular "Tug-of-War" and Trigger Points (micro-spasm within a muscle body) you can begin to relieve many of the causes of annoying headaches, muscle tension, feeling drained and unproductive while working at your computer. This ebook addresses The Problem, Prevention and The Solution. It describes what is going on, how and what to do about it. It is full of photos with descriptions that clearly show you how to perform Self-Massage, Stretching and Conditioning Techniques......I am looking for a cover that looks/has the feel of freedom, simplicity, empowerment, choosing a life without pain, balance. I want people to feel light, inspired and capable of helping themselves." I want it to feel crisp. I want to look professional but not rigid. ****Idea: I have thought of the image of the evolution of man from ape to homo erectus, then someone did the drawing to evolution of the geek there homo erectus reverts back to the hunch over person working on a computer (poor ergonomics) looking very ape-like. So, I thought about carrying that a step further where the hunch over person continues to evolve into a person with good ergonmics sitting at a computer and when they stand they are up right again or something. ***Idea#2 Since it is called "Pain-Free Daily" the idea of a newspaper comes to mind. ***Idea#3: Maybe some image that would be present throughout the ebook series about self-care. Also open to any other creative ideas. This book will be the first in a series: Pain-Free Daily: A ___________ (fill in the blank) Guide to Self-Care. Notes The book is 65 pages long. Probably around 100 images.
