Job Description: Our customer, a leader in the financial industry with locations from coast to coast, is searching for a Mortgage Loan Processor. This Mortgage Loan Processor is a contract position. Laurel, NJ Length: 6 months + Pay rate: $15.00 hr Hours: 8:30 am - 5pm Mon-Friday The Residential Mortgage Loan Processor I is the primary point of contact for the Customer once the loan has been registered and completed by the Loan Officer. Throughout the process the Processor I will utilize Commerce technology systems to support the workflow of verifying and documenting the Customers application information in accordance with our investor and or company requirements. Conducts introductory calls to Customer within 24-48 hours upon receipt of the loan from the Loan Officer. Manages and monitors pipeline to ensure cycle times from loan application to funding are within required standards. Performs weekly follow-up and pipeline review with Loan Officer to discuss details of all loans in progress and to schedule closing dates. Accountable for reviewing all documentation prior to submitting loan to Underwriting for review to ensure that it meets investor guidelines. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Organizational skills. Must have a solid understanding of mortgage programs and processes. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, meet deadlines. Proficient in MS Office and Excel. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and sound judgment skills. Ability to work overtime. Associate Degree and a minimum of 0 to 2 years processing experience. Must have knowledge with reviewing income, asset and appraisal documentation. Understand agency guidelines.
