2nd Line Desktop Support/Application Support, Pc's/Unix/Mobile/Networking/Java Digitech have been appointed by one of the most prestigious Media Groups in the world who are looking to take on a Technical Support/Application Support Engineer for a long term contract in New York. Key responsibilities: Building and installing PC's, telephones and peripherals. Providing 1st and 2nd Line Support of all aspects of the Desktop Environment. Providing application support for In House developed web applications, feed services and content management systems. Deploy/Upgrade hardware and software. Maintain records of all hardware/software purchased and deployed. Procurement of IT hardware and software. Maintain and troubleshoot Audio-visual Equipment. Assess needs for performance upgrades in the desktop environment. Provide support for Remote Users. Perform other related duties as required. Maintain Active Directory infrastructure, create accounts, Groups, GPO etc. Office facilities management in remote sites. Personal skills & attributes: Self-motivated and a desire to learn. Must have Web experience Enjoys problem solving. Good experience of managing build, installation and support of PC's. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of Telecommunications, TCP/IP, Internet Technologies a must. Must be a Team Player and have interpersonal communication skills. Analytical and Problem Solving abilities, with keen eye to detail. Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly to new systems. Willingness to help and advice other members of staff with varying degrees of technical skills. Ability to analyse, identify request quickly and able to communicate with all levels of Technology users. Good Understanding of IT and its application in a working business environment. Ability to communicate with and manage demanding high workload users. Need to be able to understand and communicate at a technical level with 3rd parties and web development teams. Experience required: Desktop - Windows XP/7 (Required), Mac OS 10 (Useful), IOS, Devices, Android, Windows Mobile. Server - Windows 2008r2,Linux (Useful),Solaris (Useful) Software - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook 2010,Adobe Suite, Video Software, Design Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc.), Adobe suite, Java, IE, Firefox, Chrome, AD Domain Services(DNS/DHCP/WINS), Good understanding of networks in particular TCP/IP.
