We are currently supporting a large health care insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for a Sr. Java Developer. This project requires broad range of technical skills including end to end Java/J2EE technologies. TASKS: Perform full life-cycle activities in support of this project which will include, but not limited to: Work with the architect and technical leader on design and development. Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the projects. Perform code review, unit, integration and performance testing. Document System design, write code and mentor other resources. QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience 7+ years professional software development experience in object-oriented language (Java/J2EE). Strong hands on experience using latest Java/J2EE technologies. Extensive hands on experience with web based enterprise application development using Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, JMS, Log4J and Apache Commons. Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including Hibernate, Spring Framework, Ant, Struts2, DOJO, XML parser technology and JUnit. Experience developing the RESTFUL/SOAP/JAX-WS Web Services. Experience developing Rich Internet Applications using various UI frameworks like Jquery, AJAX. Good experience in writing code to export data in MS Excel and PDF formats. Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills. Strong hands on experience with UML Strong experience of working with RDBMS (DB2) and writing/tuning SQL’s. Background with Rules Engines is a big plus Independent, self-starter & team player.
