Senior Oracle DBA | Oracle, Design, Architecture, AIX | Contract | Basingstoke An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Oracle DBA to join the Visa Europe Engineering team, on a contract basis. As Senior Oracle DBA you will perform a lead role in the definition, design and implementation of Visa Europe’s database solutions, collaborating with other Engineering team members to specify systems appropriate to Visa’s needs. Proven experience of design architecture within a DBA role is essential. As Senior Oracle DBA you will be required to have first class stakeholder management skills, including strategic technology partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Any experience in the management of technology and/or infrastructure related projects and experience of working on mission critical, responsive 24x7 environments is desirable. In-depth and current Oracle on AIX experience would be highly advantageous (Oracle 11g including, ASM, Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager).
