Experis is hiring two WEB CONTENT WRITERS (1 mid-level, 1 jr. level) for our telecom client in the Kansas City metro. These are contract positions to at least mid-Decemberwith the likilihood of continual extensions or conversion to direct hire. The writers will create new, and repurpose existing, content; research and analyze content requirements; and create audienced pages that incorporate photos, videos and interactive tools for a new site section dedicated to business customers. This is not a Technical Writer position, and candidates must have experience writing for the Webnot just for print. REQUIREMENTS: - Two+ years of web-based written content experience - Prior, proven experience with web writing (not technical writing) for a consumer or business audience, preferably ecommerce related - Experience with a content management tool (preferably TeamSite) - Effective organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and verbal/written communication skills - Must be familiar with AP writing style; experience with adhering to corporate brand voice and style guides - Ability to succeed in - and prior experience with - fast-paced production schedule and adherence to strict deadlines - Independent work-style, ability to plan, analyze, research and execute with little direction, creative problem-solving skills and initiative - Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project) - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/assignments, be highly detail-oriented, thrive in a rapidly changing environment and meet short turnarounds & deadlines. - Must possess a passion for their work and take ownership - Degree or major in Journalism preferred - Online advertising and merchandising copywriting experience; creative agency experience a plus Samples of work of URLs will be required.
