Local candidates preferred Our direct, multi national client located in the North Miami / Fort Lauderdale area is seeking a QA Specialist to join them asap for a long-term consulting engagement. All work must be performed onsite, Monday - Friday and you must be able to attend an in-person interview if required. Project: This position will perform test planning/strategy, building testing estimates, and executing both manual and automated test scripts on internal and B2C external website applications. Resource will be a part of a key testing team responsible for monthly software releases, small enhancements, and large corporate projects. The position will collaborate with systems analysts, technical teams, project managers, and business sponsors through the entire software lifecycle. Responsible for providing testing documentation, defect metrics, as well as assurance of quality on-time and within budget. Scope of work: Scope of work: * Document system issues and prioritize for future reference * Serve as testing lead for projects and debug and troubleshoot system functionality issues * Performs manual testing and certification on software releases * Create, maintain, and alter test plans and scripts with ongoing system enhancements against business requirements * Report defect metrics as well as build reporting strategy * Create and present test estimates to project management team * Create and execute automated testing strategy as well as scripting * Provide user acceptance testing strategy and support with business stakeholders Must be proficient in the following areas * Test Plans * Test Estimation * Manual Test Scripts * Test Metrics Reporting * Experience in testing web applications * Experience with API interface certification preferred Requirements: * Internal and consumer facing web experience a ++ * Excellent communication skills - verbal & written * 5+ years as a Business Quality Assurance * 5+ years experience working directly with business * Strong understanding of application development life cycle * Proficient with Mercury Quality Center and QTP * Knowledge of project planning tools ( Microsoft Project, Clarity ++) * Experience developing testing strategies & test scripts * Ability to facilitate requirements gathering & design meetings * Experience leading team environments * Experience managing software enhancement priorities and release versioning * Experience using a process for documenting requirements & design * Hospitality experience a ++ * Experience with marketing and creative agency business partners a + Sorry, no 3rd party candidates or visa sponsorship available for this position.
