PRIMARY FUNCTION: The incumbent will be responsible for managing and overseeing social media integration for the Al Youm program. S/he will work closely with Executive Producer and General Manager of New Media to ensure the social media strategy is relevant, engaging, consistent, and on-message across all of Al Youms platforms (broadcast and online). Incumbent will monitor the effectiveness of individual social media activities and ensure that smart social media practices are incorporated. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring effective benchmarks, measuring the growth of the community, and analyze, review, and report on the overall effectiveness of the new initiatives. QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be experienced Television Producer with full Production knowledge. Must write and speak Arabic (Classical and White) fluently. Must be proficient with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Experience in creating content for multiple platforms (tablets, mobile devices) a plus. Must have established active social media accounts. Knowledge and experience with ENPS or INews a plus. Minimum 3-4 years experience as an editor, writer or producer at a major news organization or blog or ad agency that creates content under tight deadlines is preferred. Knowledge of social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook, and emerging platforms Proven experience in integration and measuring sustainable social media strategies Well networked in the social space; ability to keep up on trends and new innovation Strong written, verbal and technical communication skills with thorough attention to detail Proven journalism skills; strong storytelling and good news judgment Existing knowledge of social media monitoring tools and Excel to analyze metrics, trends and benchmarks Must possess strong collaboration skills coupled with experience strategically navigating a large organization, including partnering with other departments and stakeholders to understand need and generate appropriate, innovative solutions Experience and expertise with video editing software a must.
