Enterprise Architect
Enterprise Architect Key Role: Provide consultation to federal agency chief architects and CIOs in effectively managing Enterprise Architecture (EA) programs. Lead and manage EA tasks and deliverables across the full lifecycle of EA support, including baseline development, target development, transition planning, implementation and segment architecture, EA governance, EA program management, EA communications, EA integration with related disciplines such as IT strategic planning, portfolio management, systems engineering, IT security management, and business and IT strategy development, and EA tool selection, use, and management. Lead small teams in conducting advanced modeling and analytics within and across select architectural layers or views for large, complex organizations, including strategy, business, data, applications, systems and services, technology, and security. Apply appropriate EA methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address client objectives and drive EA toward business results. Facilitate stakeholder work sessions focused on making enterprise-wide decisions that balance and prioritize competing interests of individual stakeholder groups. Communicate the value and relevance of EA to senior business executives or program officials. Lead staff in working with IT and systems project teams to develop or review project charters and other lifecycle documentation, including architecture and design documentation and solution concepts to ensure architectural alignment. Basic Qualifications: -7+ years of experience in a professional work environment -3+ years of experience with EA methodologies and frameworks, including FEA/FEAF, DoDAF/C4ISR, TOGAF, Zachman, or Spewak -3+ years of experience with leading medium to large teams, including staff, budget, and client relationships -Experience with leading a full lifecycle EA program support project, including Baseline, Target, and Transition Plan -Experience with EA modeling and analytics, including IDEF notations, BPMN, or UML -Experience with EA and IT governance, EA communications, and EA program management -Knowledge of federal government IT legislation, policy, and drivers, including Clinger-Cohen Act, OMB Circular A-130, OMB EA guidance, 25 Point Plan to Reform Federal IT, or Federal Cloud Computing Strategy -Ability to provide writing samples required -Ability to obtain a security clearance -BA or BS degree Additional Qualifications: -Experience with management consulting -Experience with business process reengineering or other large business transformation initiatives -Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) development and implementation -Experience with working for the federal government as an employee or contractor support -Experience with business and IT strategy development, IT portfolio management, systems engineering, Cloud computing, or other related disciplines -Experience with Enterprise Architecture and modeling, and visualization tools, including Troux/Metis, IBM System Architect, Mega, Enterprise Elements, iGrafx, and Visio -Experience with mentoring and training junior staff -Experience with marketing and business development for consulting services -Experience with Segment Architecture, Solution Architecture, or working with Enterprise-level systems or transformation projects focused on a specific business line or service, including developing systems plans, strategy, or architecture for HR functions -Knowledge of the federal government contracting process -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
