Exchange Administrator
Technical Qualifications: o Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 o Microsoft Office Communication Server o Microsoft Lync Server o Symantec Enterprise Vault o Windows Clustering o Active Directory o Microsoft Powershell o IIS o Good Technology o SMTP Role Responsibilities: o Serves as technical expert and point-of-contact on escalated issues o Provides level 3 and 4 support for Messaging and Collaboration projects and implemented applications o Work with SAN and Server administrators to identify solutions to issues, provide high performance, data protection and effective use of resources o Play a leading role in hands-on implementation (build and test) & support of enterprise messaging strategies for high availability/backup/recovery/clustering/hygiene/spam filtering/SMTP relay/internet backbone & monitoring o Make recommendations to management on tactical operational improvements and strategic architecture/design to lower overall cost of ownership, and achieve highest levels of availability and performance o Conducts performance analysis and tunes application to increase performance. o Automate routine administrative and operational tasks o Establish documentation and best practices. o Advice on options, risks, cost versus benefit, and impact on other business processes and technology priorities o Responsible for reacting to requests from service ticket, service outages, change control, & other projects o Plans, coordinates and responds to application outages o Maintains version, patch and security levels, in accordance with the strategic direction of the company o Communicates technical and non-technical information to technical support groups, customer support centers, end-users, senior management and vendors o Develops and documents procedures, policies, and how-to to increase efficiency and meet the needs of the business. o Plans, coordinates and executes change management processes o Increases efficiency by designing and implementing best practices and process automation Non-technical Qualifications: o Data collection, analysis, reporting and proven debugging skills o Must have the ability to multitask while still providing exemplary service o The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward o The candidate should be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization; must have strong verbal and written communication skills; must have excellent interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, leadership skills and must have strong skills in analysis, design, problem-solving, and project lifecycle knowledge. o Must be able to work independently, be resourceful, take initiative and problem-solve with minimal daily guidance. o The candidate must be able to represent and make strategic decisions for the team in the absence or delegation of responsibility from management in any forum. o Must have the ability to present and discuss technology with diverse knowledge workers. o Assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments, tasks and commitments; setting high standards of performance for self and others o Identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities; taking action that is consistent with company goals and customer requirements; problem solving skills; understanding the need, urgency, available facts, constraints and probable consequences related to our decisions. o Demonstrated experience in developing strong and effective work relationships that promote accomplishment of company goals. o Writing and documentation skills MS Office Project Suite Keywords: Systems Administration
