I need 2 scripts for tracking visitors-- Script #1 will set a cookie based on the traffic source ID ("SITEID") from the URL string of a landing page. SAMPLE URL STRING: http://www.mywebsite.com/?site={SITEID} Script #2 will ping a Postback URL when a visitor with a cookie for "SITEID" (from the landing page URL string) lands on a product/offer page. SAMPLE POSTBACK URL: http://clickserv.trafficsource1.com/conv/1234abcde I would like this handled by javascripts that go in the head sections of HTML web pages. (A separate js file on my server is OK, if needed.) The product/offer page is a fast redirect page so the script for pinging the Postback URL must execute quickly, before the redirect.
