One of our top clients is seeking an Intermediate to Senior-level Java / Flex Developer with good experience with core Java, Web Services and Adobe Flex. This will initially be a contractor position, but will have opportunity to be converted to permanent hire at the end of the assignment. This role is in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Responsibilities: Use current coding methodologies to support the development Java applications and platforms and contribute to technical code documentation Attend technology design meetings Recommend security and data improvements Design, develop and test new applications Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues Provide superior feedback for approved user documentation Specific Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise): 3-5+ years experience with full development life cycle from inception through implementation 3-5+ years experience with core Java 2+ years experience with Adobe Flex Web Services 2+ years experience with Web Services Experience working in both UNIX and Windows environments is a plus Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment Any experience with J2ME is a plus Test-oriented attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing) Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
