IT Field Technician - Part Time; AS NEEDED Location: OKLAHOMA City, OK and Surrounding Areas up to a 150 mile radius (when necessary) DETAILS The support is Monday through Sunday, but will primarily be Monday thru Friday, with occasional weekend service calls, as needed Support averages 15 to 20+ hours per week, hours are not guaranteed, hours worked are hours paid Hours of Operation: The support is generally 8:00AM to 6:00PM, but there may be instances in which service is outside of these hours (because we are servicing Retail, Financial, and Insurance industry accounts, the support is same day or next day support) Position Summary: Responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installations. Provides technical support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization and resolution of reported problems. Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support. May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system. Compensation: Hourly rate: $17.00 per hour "PORTAL TO PORTAL" (drive time is paid at the same hourly rate as On-site repair time) Mileage reimbursement: $0.34/mile driven per Elite mapping software "PORTAL TO PORTAL" Requirements: Employees working on client accounts must possess A+ certification Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment Performs basic computer hardware and software installations Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction Represents the organization in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates Interacts with customer as directed, responding to routine technical questions or request for information Expectations: Communication & Responsiveness, Commitment & Reliability, Organizational Skills, Patience Preferred Knowledge and Comfortable working with or LEARNING the following: POS (Point of Sale) equipment (NCR) LASER PRINTERS (Lexmark, HP, Xerox, etc.) PC desktop support (Dell, IBM, COMPAQ, etc) Possible Opportunities for Certifications (at customer's request): Dell Cert HP Cert Customer specific Cert such as State Farm, Xerox and/or Lexmark Printer Certifications Additional details/requirements of what we are looking for: Employment is Subject to a Drug Test and Background Screening Travel to customer sites is mandatory and requires candidates to have a reliable form of transportation available on a Daily Basis Managing the shipping and tracking of all equipment used on daily basis is mandatory
