Location: Atlanta Status: Contract Compensation: Submit Competitive Rate Education Level: Not Specified Industry leader is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer for a 5+ month contract in Atlanta, GA. In this position you will provide oversight and technical leadership in implementing enterprise applications and integrating infrastructure solutions. The Systems Engineer is responsible for 'owning' the project-level deployment architecture to deliver multiple projects including but not limited to an ERP, a SOA Strategy, Content Management/Collaboration, BI, and Datawarehouse technology. This role will operate within a highly matrixed environment which requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide product and solutions design support to Infrastructure Engineering, Application Engineering, Architecture and Application Development. Develop and maintain a strategy and product roadmaps for enterprise application integrations, including SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL environments and integration considerations such as process. orchestration, data integration and master data management. Provide oversight and coaching to Technical Leads to ensure alignment with technical product roadmaps. Support program and projects delivery from an infrastructure and application architecture perspective, ensuring new technologies are successfully deployed and meet strict operational acceptance criteria. Work closely with technical component owners in designing technical infrastructure, application and data architecture methodologies. Clearly articulate solution alternatives and trade-offs, and develop sound recommendations for end-to-end infrastructure technology solutions. Contribute to the development and implementation of standards and best practices to deliver best in class client experience, to drive operations transformation & continuous improvements to meet business strategy. Provide overall leadership in the areas of SOA Integration technologies including working directly with application developers and clients to resolve specific integration issues. Hands on coding may be required. Manage the transformation, delivery, and exchange of data between both internal and external business systems using both Web services and ETL batch based data transfers. Collaborate with business partners to flush out system requirements and ensure that operational/analytical data warehouses are able to support all business requirements. Develop the overall plans to initiate and pursue continuous data quality improvements following an Agile Methodology. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Deep understanding of information delivery architecture including the creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture. Ability to lead in the following areas; Agile development methodologies, Iterative project life cycles. Experience with the following technologies; Services Oriented Architecture (SOA), ESB, Web Services, VMware, Windows Server, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, YARDI, Active Directory, and Document Capture. Capability to model complex system interactions/integrations. Strong Knowledge of Content Management Tools (SharePoint). Strong knowledge of BI and data integration tools in a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 environment. Excellent communicator with experience delivering highly complex enterprise applications. Strong Knowledge of SharePoint Portal product and development patterns. Must be able to produce thorough, comprehensive, detailed, high-quality documentation using MS Office Suite; Visio and PowerPoint. Thorough understanding of enterprise scale network technologies - switch, Router, Firewall, and load-balancer. Considerable expertise with breadth and depth in the areas of hardware and software infrastructure design and engineering is essential. Extensive knowledge of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restartability, parallelization and table driven business rules. Experience in Master Data Management and Meta Data Management. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. 5+ years as a Solutions Architect or Senior Systems Engineer experience working in a systems integration and service oriented architecture (SOA). Familiarity with Cloud Architecture and integration within an enterprise solution. 3+ years overall experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Database Design and Database Development (SQL 2008 R2 preferred) including data warehousing architecture (staging, integration, warehouse and data mart platforms; associated ETL design and toolset)5+ years of Java or other Object-Oriented programming language as a system analyst.
