IT Support Administrator - 2nd & 3rd Line Support (3 Month Fixed Term Contract) Kenilworth, Warwickshire £21,000 - £22,000 pro rata DOE Our client is the UK's Sector Skills Council for land-based and environmental industries. They are now seeking an IT Support Administrator to join their team on a three month fixed term contract. In this rewarding short term contract, you will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the company's IT systems. This will include internal networks, servers, email and telecoms. As an IT Support Administrator, you will also provide support and assistance on all aspects of IT to internal clients, whilst working with the IT team to provide reliable, effective support. Some of your key responsibilities will include: - Supporting existing server infrastructure, such as Citrix Farm, Active Director and SQL databases - Configuring and setting up new desktops and laptops - Supporting existing communications infrastructure, including telephone systems and WAN - Providing 2nd and 3rd line hardware and software support and advice - Administering corporate licences and asset management To be considered, you must have experience in a 2nd and 3rd line support role. Additionally, you must have knowledge of the following: - Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008 - Microsoft Outlook and Exchange - Microsoft SQL, ideally DBA - Microsoft Windows Operating systems - Citrix Presentation Server and Xenapp - LAN and WAN environments - IT security issues and anti-virus measures - Backups and restore protocols - Terminal Services As an IT Support Administrator, you must have sound judgement skills and the ability to analyse information. Superb communication skills and a knack for problem solving are equally important.
