Our prestigious client on the border of East Yorkshire / South Yorkshire is looking for an experienced and talented PHP Developer contractor for their busy and expanding IT department. They are one of the fastest growing companies in the UK and have rapid plans to expand in the next 5 years. You will be joining an established professional and hardworking development team. To be eligible for this position you will need to have experience of high level programming languages such as PHP, Java, Python and Perl, and experience of object oriented programming and design concepts. Knowledge of relational database systems (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is desired but not essential. The organisation is mainly PHP-based. The successful candidate must have experience of setting up and managing Apache, and be experienced with Linux-based operating systems. Familiarity with version control systems will be an advantage, as will an understanding of interface design and usability principles . We look forward to receiving your application.
