Job Title: CATIA Designer (Aerospace) Reporting to: Technical Director Position: Temporary/Contract Location: Macclesfield Cheshire, UK Hours of Works: 40 Hours per Week Company: AvSupport Ltd provides cost effective and complimentary international sales, marketing, engineering and project management in the commercial, military, fixed and rotary wing aerospace market from its location in the United Kingdom and through its supporting network of internationally located offices and representatives. Job Summary: Working as part of a disciplined team to provide CATIA 3D models and detailed 2D part drawings for composite aircraft interior ducting. Duties and Responsibilities: § Be able to work as part of a team based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK § Provide CATIA drawings and models to an agreed schedule § Assists the engineers in the checking of drawings § Provide updates completion dates to the Program Managers. § Maintain a simple in-house databases tracking drawings status. § Perform work assignments that are somewhat complex and varied in nature, usually requiring some originality, ingenuity, and a degree of technical skill. § May act in an advisory capacity, making recommendations on design, installation or manufacture of parts. § Prepare correspondence, memos, records and forms as required. § Any other duties in line with the role, Personal Attributes q Good communication skills. q Organised. q Team player. q Accountable for own workload and able to work on own initiative. . q Aims to exceed expectations. q Able to work under pressure and to deadlines Competencies q Functional / Technical Skills. q Managing & Measuring Work q Priority Setting. q Time Management. q Organising. q Accountability. q Integrity and Trust. q Excellence. q Written Communication. Experience q Experience within the aerospace industry with knowledge of systems and aircraft installations q Min of 3000 hours of varied CATIA V5 assembly and design experience. q Able to create and edit 2D Drawings from 3D CATIA drawings q Experience of composite is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge q PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products. q Ability to effectively work with employees and external customers q Good judgement skills q Ability to manage and prioritise substantial and diverse workload q Ability to work under pressure and working independently Education q Minimum ONC/HNC Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering q CATIA Training
