Application Packaging Engineer
Packaging Engineer Our client has a long term contract opportunity (12+ months) for a Packaging Engineer who will be responsible for packaging applications and deploying them to the end user. This position offers an hourly rate up to $45.00/hour, along with full medical, dental, and vision benefits along with a 401K and company match. This candidate will play a key role and is responsible for the development of software packages for windows based desktops and laptops, including testing and distributing software to the workstations, through a formal release management process. This candidate will be creating and maintaining automated installations using packaging tools and scripting. Requirements: 5+ years experience in and application packaging, testing, and deployment of at least 5,000 desktops. Experience with multi-site, large environment application package deployments. Must have experience and working knowledge of scripting languages, multiple packaging and deployment applications, and distribution methods. Strong knowledge of and experience with installation, customization, maintenance and support of operating systems and systems software. The ability to provide on-site and on-call technical support on a rotating schedule. Completion of an associates or a bachelors degree is required for consideration in this role.
