Senior Business Technical Analyst
Senior Business Technical Analyst Description: Looking for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Business Technical Analyst to prepare file maintenance for full global deployment. in a web-based application used to manage price, product, and promotion as well as configuration information required for Point of Sales (POS) devices. It is designed to be easy to learn and use, flexible, and reliable. While the application is not directly seen by the crew or customers, the information it maintains has a direct impact on the experience of both. This position will initially be responsible for validating and documenting a complex data synchronization process and provide governance over the application performance improvements. They will also validate that the delivered solution application logic and user interface components meet the defined functional and non-functional requirements. This individual will assist the team with the identification and definition of requirements for the application. They will be called upon to perform implementation activities to support a specific area of the world or market adoption and validate application changes that comply with infrastructure upgrades. Responsibilities include: • Validate delivered solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements for both UI and complex batch processes • Develop a process model for use of the data synchronization module which includes both manual and automated components • Write requirements specifications and develop business process models to define the business needs. • Provide day-to-day direction of development staff (on and off shore). • Ensure that the solution design meets the customer's prioritized business requirements. • Setup and configuration of pilot markets • Occasional domestic U.S. and International travel may be required. Appropriate Candidate Characteristics: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as is, the ability to think analytically and to clearly communicate with the user community and development team. The right candidate is a fast learner, innovative, and enjoys working on international projects. • Strong communication and organization skills • Excellent problem solving skills • Highly adaptive and able to manage multiple priorities Experience: Minimum Requirements: • 10 + years’ experience in application development processes and operational processes. • Working knowledge of systems development life cycle processes. • Working Knowledge of application and technical infrastructure architecture processes. • Ability to work in a Team environment. • Able to travel internationally. • Experience with Web-based development, data models, and SQL scripting preferred. • 5 + years of experience in the Restaurant business area preferred. • Familiarity with Rational Tools (Requisite Pro, Clear Case, Clear Quest) a plus.
