My client is well-established bank, situated in Mt. Laurel, NJ or Greenville, SC. They are looking for a Project Finance & Vendor Manager Analyst. This is a 4 months contract position with a strong possibility of extension. JOB DESCRIPTION: Client is seeking a Finance Analyst contractor to help manage the financial and vendor management processes. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, self-motivated and highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The individual will work closely with the delivery teams, as well as Technology and Business finance teams to manage, track and report on the financials. Key accountabilities/requirements of this role include: • Work with the technology delivery teams as well as with common services and delivery services teams to support and refine processes for developing accurate and detailed monthly and quarterly forecasts. • Generate monthly and quarterly portfolio financial reports to reflect actual spent. • Conduct variance analysis to ensure reasons for variances are understood and communicated effectively. • Provide financial reporting for executive reporting package as well to support PMO reporting processes • Track approved project estimates and fiscal year funding allocation for all projects. • Provide guidance to delivery teams on best practices in budget management, forecasting and time tracking. • Drive continuous improvements in the financial management and reporting practices of the Online Channel Technology team. • Support financial aspect of change control process. • Track and manage Statements of Work with global delivery partners • Coordinate initial tracking, processing and approval of invoices from global delivery partners • Initiate and support process improvement, documentation and standardization across online, phone and ATM channels relating to financial and vendor management. • Analyze cost center reports to identify exceptions, trends and opportunities for increased cost effectiveness • Support regular financial analyses as needed including capitalization, amortization, operational cost, transactional cost, etc. • Participate in and support any new system implementation activities within the group (i.e. new project and portfolio management tool, invoice management database) • May operate as a working lead on finance initiatives as assigned MUST HAVE: • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis • Ability to manage moderate level of complexity in analysis / reporting • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and also need to know Word and PowerPoint NICE TO HAVE: -Technology/IT background or experience working in project finance from an IT perspective. -Accounting and accrual processes knowledge. -Working knowledge of SDLC/PMLC methodologies -Working knowledge of MS Project, Clarity, Visio, Access, SharePoint would be assets -Experience working with an IT PMO team is preferred -Supervision or management experience an asset -Post-Secondary education in finance and/or equivalent working experience -Process Mapping & Process Analysis courses an asset -Project Management courses an asset SOFT SKILLS: • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining close attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to facilitate small and large meetings, comfortably present information and recommendations in a clear and comprehensive format • Good execution and project management abilities • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to manage deadlines; multi-task; and adapt well to changing priorities.
