Overview: A world leading manufacturer of industrial machinery is currently looking to recruit for a Manufacturing Engineer on a contract basis in Surrey area. You will be joining a large team of engineers working on the design of the industrial manufacturing equipment. The Company: This is the UKs leading manufacturer within their industry. They manufacture in the UK and distribute across the world. Due to recent increased demand of the products they have a need for a few contract positions. The Role of a Manufacturing Engineer: � Ensuring the smooth introduction of product improvements, on time with the minimum of disruption. � Recommend and implement process improvements, which lead to cost reduction and increased production efficiency. � Recommend product improvements, which lead to lower cost and/or weight; implement through the Manufacturing Engineering team those changes, which do not affect design and specification. � Prepare detailed cost justifications. � Promote continuous improvement Key Skills: You will need experience within a Manufacturing environment, carrying out improvements (productivity, efficiency, time, waste etc). As you will be part of a team you will need excellent communication skills.
