HR Advisor –International Drilling Contractor- Short term- Aberdeen
HR Advisor –Aberdeen 3 Month Temporary Position £commensurate with experience We are working with a leading and global onshore and offshore drilling contractor. Business expansion means they are looking for a HR Adviser to be based from their Aberdeen office. The Role The Human Resources Adviser is primarily responsible for the provision of timely professional support to the Country/Functional Managers and internationally assigned employees within their area of responsibility. The HR Adviser will ensure that all Human Resources activity is carried out fairly and consistently in accordance with the company’s Worldwide Human Resources standards, the Group Management System Procedures, client specific requirements, where appropriate, and any applicable legislative requirements. Responsibilities · Provide proactive resource planning support and co-ordinate all recruitment and selection requirements. · Work in conjunction with Regional HR Manager and senior in-country managers to advise and agree changes to employee contracted terms and support the preparation and issue of contractual paperwork including offer letters and contracts of employment, confirmation of changes to terms and conditions and any salary-amendment matters. · Support the Regional HR Manager in providing appropriate advice and guidance on performance management issues, encouraging the use of documented discussions, performance improvement plans and personal development plans as required. Responsible for all preparation and issue of all associated paperwork. · Monitor and report regularly on headcount, turnover and absence to Regional HR Manager so timely action can be taken to mitigate the effect on the company. · Maintain the Human Resources database and employee files to ensure the accurate and confidential administration of all employee details, including associated payroll process requirements. · Compile Human Resources reports and statistics as required. · Process invoices and prepare HR payroll forms for new-starts, leavers, etc as required and ensure all payroll transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with the payroll window each month. · Support the implementation of appropriate Human Resources policies and procedures. · Responsible for training HR colleagues based globally Requirements · Proven experience in an HR generalist role · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to liaise with personnel at all levels of organisation · Ability to work within a team as well as on an individual basis, demonstrating initiative with the ability to coach and supervise team members. · Organised, efficient, creative, and driven to achieve results for the HR function and business. · Hands on Administration work will be required as part of this role · Ability to travel may be required as part of this role · Have Oil and Gas service or drilling contracting experience This is an excellent opportunity to join an oil and gas drilling contractor in Aberdeen.
