Responsible for purchasing and negotiation materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Purchasing - Fastener Buyer - Job Classification and Descripition to allow for Purchasing to be selected. * Order components based off of engineering BOM's to cover new program requirements. *Track component deliveries to meet the build schedule *Manage all aspects of supplier relationships on a regional and global basis. *Drive APQP processes for new suppliers / new parts. *Responsible for all commercial activities with suppliers such as; Identification,, RFQ, process/product analysis, cost management business plan, etc. *Prepare bid analysis and negotiate contracts *Responsible for supplier selection, sourcing documentation and recommendations to smanagment. *Preparation and approval of purchase orders. *Resolve payment issues associated with pricing, aid in other disputes. *Analyze and determine items required in the establishment of contract and supplier files. *Validate and verify conformity to specifications of materials for use in existing or new products. *Discuss component forecasts with internal sales personnel and suppliers to insure supply. *Maintain purchase price and raw material price trends and analysis. * Advanced Excel skills are mandatory with solid Power Point skills.- Fastener experience preferred but not required. - Excellent communication skills.- Attention to detail a must. - Self starter in a team environment.*Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field with equivalent experience.*Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiating skills is a must.*High level of interpersonal skills,and ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally*Understanding of application and use of contracts.*Commercial/Relationship Management experience is preferred but not required. *Experience in purchasing, supply chain or quality (or combination) in manufacturing industry is a bonus.*Knowledge of manufactured commodities, and related materials and processes, as well as supply base.*Program / project management skills.
