Our client, located in Irvine, California is seeking an IT Instructional Design Consultant. Ideally, they are looking for Designers with project management experience; they are not only focusing on the development piece. Sit in the IT Learning and Development Group. Sample Projects could be rolling out different methodologies, service management, SW applications, and large scale projects. Perform needs analysis and scoping out work that needs to be done with SME; defining and putting together training strategy and then passing the training on to trainers themselves for deployment. A lot of candidates have been too far to commute and/or they have not had the PM piece. A majority of time will be in client facing meetings and interfacing with SME to define needs; 60% of time working directly with clients and defining project needs and 40% of the time is the development of training. Start on one big project; service management initiative with iterative sprints that last 3 months at a time; then you will likely get a second project. Articulate, WebEx and Camtasia are the tools they use. The Team is pretty experienced in these types of projects; so will be joining a 'seasoned' team. There are 2 openings! Projects they are picking up are already in place: They would like to see your samples of eLearning, WebEx presentations, or PowerPoint presentations Job aids, course manuals, guides, etc. Need strong client interfacing skills Ideally, they are looking for project management experience; not only focusing on the development piece This person should have knowledge / experience of LMS capabilities and SCORM requirements They are seeking a 'seasoned' Instructional Designer with the ability to work independently and in a team environment to support technical and process training development for an IT Organization Work well independently with SMEs in the design and development of custom training solutions including workshops, classes, and eLearning pro The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Minimum 5+ years of professional experience Deep proficiency with rapid development e-Learning tools (such as Articulate, Lectora Inspire, Captivate, and Camtasia) Experience in developing online and blended learning solutions - incorporating graphics, audio, video, and animation Ability to demonstrate effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills Extensive experience using standard publishing tools (Office and Adobe products) Experience in virtual (instructor led and web-based) classroom course development and delivery Working knowledge of LMS capabilities and SCORM requirements
