POSITION TITLE SAP Basis Support Analyst – Chemicals, Corporate and Upstream SUMMARY We are looking for an SAP Basis analyst who preferably has experience in supporting very large scale SAP systems, is able to work in global teams, and to support a multitude of SAP environments on different platforms. BASIC FUNCTION OF THE WORK GROUP The group also provides support activities for existing SAP installations. This includes: - monitoring of the systems leveraging CCMS based alerting, - performance tuning via maintenance of buffer pools, configuration of logon groups, and work process distribution - problem analysis & solving, - analysis of Early Watch Alerts, - performance of system copies, etc - Systems supported range from several hundred users to large scale R/3 with 11.000 active users in a single instance / client Note: this is not the primary organization for S&C admin; transport admin; DBA support; OS support SKILL REQUIREMENTS Must speak, read and write English fluently Excellent communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Good analytical skills High energy and motivation Good team worker Preferably having worked in distributed organizations before. Besides good SAP Skills also good Windows and or UNIX know-how. Data Base Skills welcome, especially in DB2 and Oracle. The most competitive candidates would ideally have some of the following experiences: - Prior in-depth experience in technical ABAP4 programming, analysis of SAP source code, performance statistics and dumps - Prior experience with large-scale, global SAP installations - Prior experience with multiple R/3 implementation types (FI-CO, MM, PS, HR, CRM, BW implementations) - Prior database administrator experience on DB2 or Oracle DBMS platforms - Prior experience with multiple releases of SAP R/3 (3.1, 4.0, 4.6) - Prior Basis support experience with SAP IS-Oil , IS-Retail or other industry solutions The individual in this position will work as members of a global team. A high degree of working hour flexibility along with time-zone awareness and consideration for cultural differences is required.
