Data Modeler / Data Analyst- Oracle 10g/11g database object NYC, NY Please respond with the details : Word copy of the resume Work authorization Rate / Salary Availability We are looking for a Data Modeler / Data Analyst The Data Analyst/Modeler is responsible for develop and maintain domain logical data model artifacts. It includes Data Dictionaries, Data Properties, Data Classification and Data format specifications. The role will work with the other cross functional teams to create and maintain the Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model, Model Release Documentation, Data Harmonization, Mappings and User Guides for all the applications within the company. Duties and Responsibilities: * Data analysis of source data * Classify data into different categories based on Security and Compliances Polices. * Create and maintain the metadata repository. * Perform source system data profiling including structure, data, and relationship discovery * Design conceptual, logical, and physical models to meet project requirements * Evolve existing models to meet new and changing business requirements * Design new tables, and integrate new tables into existing schema * Consolidate and deliver data centric project artifacts including data profile findings, data quality requirements, business metadata (table/column), operational requirements (data retention, archiving, and purge), etc. * Generate data dictionary reports, ER Diagram and other artifacts. * Conduct model reviews with DBA's and project team members * Install and maintenance the Data Modeling Tools Supervisory Responsibilities: * No supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science preferred. A combination of education, technical training/certification, and relevant experience that is equivalent to 10 years overall working experience will be considered in lieu of an undergraduate degree. * Minimum 5 years experience in Data Modeler and Data Analyst role in Oracle Databases. Requirements and General Skills: Technical Skills * 5 years of hands-on experience on developing and maintaining data structures as well as the development of strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery and associated data policies. * 5 years of hands-on data modeling expertise for relational databases both for logical and physical data models. * Experience in modeling large-scale (100+ entities) relational data models. * 5 years of ERWIN or DataStage. * Familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g database object types. * Thorough understanding of data integration, data virtualization, data federation and database design techniques. * Thorough understanding of dimensional modeling, modeling for reporting applications, normalization techniques, forward-engineering and reverse-engineering techniques. * In-depth understanding and practical expertise with regards to structured system development methodologies. * Familiarity with various process modeling techniques (activity hierarchy diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, system interface diagrams). * Experience in designing and developing Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases. * Knowledge of the Oracle BRM data model is a plus.
