Our client a global telecoms company is currentley recruiting for an expeienced NMS / Network designer to work on a large Defence contract. The suitable candidate will have SC clearance or at a minimum be eligable to apply: The successful applicant will assist in design, development, consultancy, integration and support at a high technical level on a range of major voice and data network solutions. The role involves working closely with other teams - including the vendors and customers - to produce a fit-for-purpose multi-vendor solution providing complex end-to-end services that include the broader aspects of the capability such as network management and security. The applicant will be a highly motivated individual who wishes to expand their technical abilities. The applicant will work as part of a small team within a much larger team and will be expected to travel occasionally (typically the West Country). The applicant will be a UK national holding a UK driving licence. The candidate will have the following technical experience: Essential skills and experience: Solaris 9 or 10, and W2K3, Oracle 9 or 10, NMS Applications e.g. Proviso, eHealth or Network Node Manager, SNMP, Perl Scripting Desirable skills and experience: SRX3600 firewall, SSG520M firewall, DFTS knowledge, CS2K, Juniper, Nortel Passport, System Testing Suitable candidates should submit their cv in the first instance.
