Paladin is currently seeking a Senior Internal Communications Specialist for a Canadian branch of a billion dollar, global organization. OVERVIEW The Internal Communications Senior Specialist will work directly under the communications leader and will assist in executing solutions across multiple departments. The Candidate will develop campaigns, write collateral and proof/edit materials for the client’s operations. The ideal candidate will also have experience assisting with communication solutions and be a strong writer. This is an opportunity to support business segment leaders and stakeholders on internal initiatives and programs. Title: Senior Internal Communications Specialist Start Date : ASAP Location : Toronto, ON Length of Contract: Ongoing Contract Pay Rate: $24-30/hr (Time and a half for hours over 40) Hours : Full time, 8am – 4pm (35 hours a week) WE OFFER BENEFITS: Consultants working over 30 hours per week after 30 days qualify for medical, dental, vision, 401K and more through our staffing firm. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage communication process for a number of cross-segment initiative deliverables Work with stakeholders to create effective communication collateral and protocols for project-specific initiatives Assist and provide support to the Corporate Diversity & Corporate Social Responsibility programs Weave key messages into ongoing communication channels and ensure consistency between company, segment, and division communications Partner with other shared services teams (such as Human Resources and Information Technology) to align timing and provide counsel on communication best practices Contribute to global and Canada-wide communication projects as needed Help streamline communication vehicles and processes for efficient delivery of messages and overall strategy QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related discipline (Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, Business or a related field) 4 to 7 years of relevant communication experience Strong writing, editing skills as well as knowledge of CP Style Experience using change management practices and a broad mix of communication vehicles and approaches resulting in behavioral change (Intranet, Leader Cascades, Video, Discussion Boards) Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills and will demonstrate versatility, creativity, and flexibility Strong listening skills with a proven ability to assess communication issues and then influence stakeholders to take desired actions If this position is a fit for you, or someone you know , email firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP with ALL of the following: Your updated résumé in a Word doc. only (no PDFs please) Related internal writing samples targeting managers or HR audiences (Web links are preferred.
