Our organization is hosting a rendition of Dancing with the Stars as a fundraising event for Foster Care. We are looking for a strong Dance Instructor/ Choreographer or group to assist with training the selected couples on their dance of choice (dance, music, costume, makeup, theme, etc). As well the hired individual or group will assist with the staging of the show. We are working with a very limited budget, as this is a fundraiser; however there will be a stipend per couple trained and a flat rate for the show coordination piece. This event will take place on a college campus, thus we have access to practice space. Those with dance studios, dance instructor groups and any extra perks in regards to the staging of the show (props, sound, costumes, hair, make-up, judges) are encouraged to submit proposals. We are looking at having a maximum of 30 couples. The event date is, Sat., Nov. 17, 2012 (all day). Rehearsals will be three days a week starting the second week of Sept. until the show date. The show and rehearsals will take place in the downtown Los Angeles area. The hired person or group will need to have a flexible schedule and be available at least 3 days a week. Reliability is a MUST! Please see below the dance categories. The hired person or group should have skills in the majority of the listed areas (give or take one or two). We will be accepting proposals and setting up interviews for the next 7 days. Please submit proposals via email.
