CADEC Developer/Applications Developer
Our client is currently looking for a skilled and experienced CADEC Developer/Applications Developer to be brought on for a contract opportunity CADEC Developer/Applications Developer Rate must be inclusive - No Travel Start Date: 8/13/2012 (Tentative) End Date: 2/1/2013 Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $33.00/hr Job Description: Provide development and initial support for a new application. This will include redesign/development of existing interfaces, report creation, testing and full documentation of the application. This application utilizes Windows Web Services to pass data between two systems (one local, one offsite). Manage assigned applications through enterprise ticketing tool (USD) according to ITIL processes to include: Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Request Management. Ensure that assigned applications are effectively monitored to proactively identify issues so as to minimize end user impact. Skills Required: Experience in the design, coding and implementation of software programs written in the following languages: C# (required), T-SQL (required), ASP/HTML Experience with understanding of database design - MS SQL database (required) and Sybase (required) Experience developing Windows Services in C# Experience developing interfaces utilizing Web Services and creating/passing data using XML documents/objects. Experience in writing SQL queries Knowledge of web-based and Client Server based financial management support logistics management (transportation) systems and their interfaces. Excellent communication both spoken and written, ability to analyze problems and recomment solutions, ability to work in a team setting with both client and Atos teammates, familiarity with working with remote colleagues. Experience in TCP/IP network analysis Experience in UNIX (desired) Experience administering Servers (eg, restarting services, editing batch jobs/processes, FTP, etc.) Experience analysing server and application logs to monitor performance and troubleshoot problems. Responsible for developing and deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating and coordinating the independently designed applications within and across the enterprises. Determines how existing applications, Legacy systems, databases, Web interfaces and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements. Develops methods to efficiently reuse existing components. Works with users to gather business requirements, performs database analysis, codes and tests Middleware routines to ensure successful and seamless communication among the various IT systems and applications components. Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Possesses skills and knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodologies and processes such as object-oriented programming, distributed, cross-platform program communication using message brokers with Common Object Request Broker Architecture, enterprisewide content and data distribution using common databases and data standards implemented with the Extensible Markup Language (XML), Middleware applications and message queuing approaches. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development, database and Middleware technologies.
