Immediate contract opportunity for PMO/Portfolio Manager with Direct Government Client in New York, NY Trigyn's Direct Government Client has a contract assignment for a PMO/Portfolio Manager in New York, NY. Description: The consultant will be the IT portfolio manager, overseeing and coordinating multiple projects/program implementations at various client agencies. The Portfolio manager will: • Work closely with project managers/program managers leading each initiative to report on status, issues, risks etc. to senior stakeholders • Monitor and may develop program plan / schedules • Collect, aggregate and prepare briefing materials and detailed executive reports for agencies in portfolio • Responsible for facilitating agencies portfolio of IT projects through the governance process • Prioritize projects and programs within the overall portfolio • Monitor budget, issues, risks and overall execution of an effective project plan, maintaining focus on milestones and deadlines • Coordinate inter-dependent milestones and resolve cross-agency issues that arise • Help agencies develop business cases where appropriate • Coordinate interagency meetings • Ensure that all Vendor deliverables are reviewed in a timely fashion • Create awareness of any proposed changes in scope, schedule, budget or acceptance criteria with the necessary stakeholders • Track key performance indicators to manage program success • Responsible for adherence to policies and standards for projects in portfolio MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered. • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing multiple large-scale implementation projects or managing a large PMO or operations based organization • Knowledge of SDLC and development methodologies • Experience managing large scale budgets or programs (> $25MM) from beginning to end. • Must be willing to provide references and detailed information about projects / experience • Must be able to manage staff at all levels • Must have strong communication skills and be able to conduct presentations to executive management • Must be able to create presentations, status reports and other program materials • Must be able to manage program risks and schedule efficiently • Must have experience with program governance, project prioritization and the change management DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Prior government project experience (NYC strongly preferred). • A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an MBA in Information Technology Trigyn provides its employees with the following benefits: · Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance through CIGNA (Contribution Required) · Dental Insurance through Aetna (Optional Benefit) · 401(k) Plan through Fidelity with Company Match · TransitChek ® Commuter Benefit Program · Paid Time Off (PTO) (Salary Option) · Paid Holidays (Salary Option) TRIGYN IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER About Trigyn : Trigyn is an IT services company with over 900 resources deployed.
