Systems Administrator with MS Project Server Administration Exp
Windows/ Sharepoint Administrator Location: - West Point PA 19486 Duration: - 4+ months (MS Project Server Administration experience is mandatory) Overview The role of the MS Project Server 2010 Administrator is to administer Client’s Manufacturing Instance of Project Server and work closely with the PMO members and the platform team in order to maintain and operate Project Server. Responsibilities include: Resolution of user issues Granting user access Data maintenance and data quality issues Maintain the resource pool Perform ad-hoc reporting Perform testing of new SW releases and patches Knowledge base updates Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the MSPS Administrator Experience: A practical understanding of Microsoft architectures, including Windows Server, IIS as related to a Microsoft Project Server implementation. Thorough working knowledge of configurations supporting SharePoint and Project Server 2010. Experience with day to day administration of Project Server and SharePoint 2010 including access permissions, browser and desktop application configuration, and user documentation Experience using Project Professional with Project Web Access and SharePoint Project Workspaces, and understanding the inter-dependencies between the tools. Understanding and demonstrated use of best practices in the creation and use of Project Server’s Security Model (RBS, Groups, Categories). Qualifications: Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Project Server 2007/2010 and SharePoint technologies. Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve production issues Good communication skills Solid understanding of project management office processes is desirable Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines The ability to maintain the configuration of Project Server 2010
