Experis is currently searching for a LEAD NAS System Administrator for the Irving, Texas area: Lead new NAS projects by collecting requirements, attending project meeting, designing solution, procurement and deployment. Lead COB coordination and execution of NAS Storage as required by the businesses. Perform Capacity Management with the NAS provisioning team. Monitoring, support and maintenance of the NAS Filer installation including the associated supported devices e.g. Data Fabric manager, ensuring they are kept fully operational and in full compliance with all aspects of Information Security and Operational Standards at all times, escalating any exceptions/issues to the NAS Infrastructure Manager where necessary. Ensure that all Move/Add/Change (MAC) requests and NAS infrastructure Level 2 Problem Management tickets that are received from the NAS SA teams Globally, are processed promptly and effectively and that the customer is kept constantly updated with the status of their requests / problems on a daily basis. Provide technical support to all NAS SA teams within agreed service standards ensuring that all relevant parties are kept advised of progress. Coordinate the deployment of all operating system upgrades and patches (End of Life and Vulnerability) with the NAS SA teams, ensuring that all devices are remediated within the target dates specified.     Knowledge/Experience: Strong understanding and knowledge of supporting a complex and distributed technical environment. Demonstrable experience of both NetApp & EMC Celerra/VNX storage(NAS) and software, associated infrastructure and service. Experience of working within a distributed environment, ideally some of which will have been within the banking/financials sector, supported by applicable academic qualifications. High caliber, articulate individual Skills: Strong all round technical knowledge/skills within a large distributed technical environment. Strong understanding and detailed knowledge of: o Network Appliance Filer. o Network Appliance ONTAP OS. o Nearstore, Snap Lock and SnapVault o Multistore o EMC Celerra / VNX o NDMP o VB or Perl Scripting. o TCP/IP o NFS/CIFS
