Remediation Migrating Office 2010 from Office 2003 Georgetown, KY Position: Remediation Migrating Office 2010 from Office 2003 Location - Georgetown, KY Duration - 4 months Description - General Description This project is a work stream within the Workplace of the Future Initiative. The position is a Microsoft Office 2010 Migration Specialist with experience with deploying Microsoft Office 2010 and remediating compatibility issues that result in migrating to Microsoft Office 2010 from Office 2003. Candidate should be familiar with all phases and impacts of an Office 2010 upgrade. This job requires strong technical, communications and business skills. work experience requirements General: > Good time management skills > Good communication skills which will facilitate working with people at remote locations > Ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day > Flexibility to adjust to changing needs > Ability to understand and decipher customer needs > Should be self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills > Good verbal and written communication skills Technical: > Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 to 2010 migration and deployment. > Strong understanding of the differences between Microsoft Office 2003 and 2010 > Experience with Microsoft Office Migration Planning Manager (OMPM) or comparable tools > Experience with Office Compatibility Code Inspector (OCCI) or comparable tools > Experience with analyzing, converting and remediating Excel 2003 files when converted to Excel 2010 > Experience with analyzing, converting and remediating Access 2003 database when converted to Access 2010 > Experience with Excel VBA development > Experience with Access VBA development Judgment Requirements Other than standard guidelines, procedures and assignments, little direction may be given. The candidate should be able to manage their time and assignments. Thoroughness in completing tasks is imperative. The candidate will be interacting with the rest of the Information Systems team, receiving instructions and sharing information, but will also be in contact with other groups coordinating changes and understanding requirements.
