PHP / LAMP Developer Los Angeles, CA Responsibilities Perform development tasks in Apache, PHP, MySQL, XML and JavaScript Integrate back-end community and CMS solutions with front-end layer of the site Assist in developing the CMS toolset, including automated and scheduled release mechanisms. Development of front-end web pages using XHTML, CSS, MediaRSS, XML & JSON. Client side scripting using JavaScript, DHTML, and AJAX. Requirements At least 5 years of web development experience, preferably in media and entertainment Expert-level hand coding PHP, HTML, and JavaScript in non-WYSIWYG editors (e.g. Eclipse) Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously Minimum of 5 years experience in LAMP environments Experience with API-based solution providers via XML, REST, and similar Knowledge of development frameworks such as Zend Framework Experience with JavaScript Frameworks/Toolkits (e.g. MooTools, jQuery, YUI) especially with using JSON for AJAX Proven ability to develop applications across multiple complex environments with varying configurations (Local, Development, Staging, Production) Understanding of version control concepts and tools, particularly SVN Solid understanding of web standards and IA/UI best practices Experience in object-oriented, server-side scripting in PHP Resourcefulness in troubleshooting complex problems, finding available internal solutions, as well as developing new solutions based on external sources.
