Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Development Manager for a 6-month contract-hire opportunity with a financial organization in Wilson, NC. In this role, you will direct and manage the development activities of a team of programmers and analysts for an assigned Section (multiple related applications) within Application Development and Data Services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and direct team members within the Section to ensure effective project definition, planning, development, and delivery. Work as a business/technical consultant with clients, analysts, and team members to develop solutions to meet complex business needs. Plan and develop departmental budgets in accordance with established guidelines; administer compliance to meet budgetary goals and negotiate changes as required. Plan and manage the Workload Planning process for the Section. Provide reporting to staff, colleagues, senior management and clients on a regular basis to ensure all relative and critical information is clearly and expeditiously shared. Responsible for assigned personnel regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary recommendations, promotions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines. Review technical and business processes, standards and procedures making recommendations for continuous improvement. Required Skills and Competencies: Two-four year degree in IT-related curriculum or equivalent education and related work experience.
