Unix Administrator required for an inital 3 month Contract. Required skills will be primarily Solaris (2.5-10), Linux (RHEL 4,5,6/SLES 11), AIX (5/6) but also HPUX, IRIX. Must be experienced as will need to hit the ground running. Network knowledge to intermediate level essential. Exposure to EMC San technology, VMWare advantageous. Responsibilities will include day to day administration of Unix/Linux estate in UK and other countries. Contribution to design, planning. Should understand virtualisation and consolidation methodologies for the key Unix/Linux platforms. Will be required to interface and work closely with colleagues in UK and other countries. Should possess excellent communications skills, be self motivated and able to plan their own workload. Will be expected to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.
