TEKsystems is currently looking for two Ruby on Rails Developers/Programmers for a six month contract for their customer in Boulder, CO. Highlights and details of the position are below: Required: - Experience with developing web applications using Ruby on Rails. - Skilled in SQL and knowledge of relational database systems, including Postgres. - Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals at a theoretical and practical level. - Expert and demonstrated skill UX design and UI development - Proficient with developing front-end web application software using Javascript/JQuery - Proficiency and demonstrated skill with HTML and CSS. - Demonstrated skill in software analysis, design and development. - Knowledge of OOP - Knowledge of state-of-the-art technology in web applications. - Understanding of best practices for web usability and interaction design along with an understanding of browser capabilities and browser security concerns - Experience with producing cross-browser compatible web software. - Able to distill complex and partially defined requirements into effective and efficient designs - Demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve problems - Experience with Git source control and Github - Develops software using best practices and the agile methodology. - Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment. - Demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve problems - Excellent oral, written and presentation skills - Desired but not required: - Mobile and tablet software design and development experience. - Experience with Liferay and/or other content management systems. - Experience developing web applications using Oracle and Postgres databases. - HTML5, CSS3, CoffeeScript, Sass Join TEKsystems(*) and get your career on the fast track.
