A Kforce Austin, Texas client is seeking a talented LAMP Engineer to work on an environment improvement project. Required Skills: * Experience in designing, implementing, and managing highly available and scalable Open Source Software Systems that provides maximum up-time and throughput * Knowledge of industry best practices related to server administration, monitoring, storage, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery * Linux expert (preferably experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x / 6.x) * Understanding of relational databases and server requirements to provide a stable, reliable database infrastructure * Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate systems and application processes * Experience in providing architectural and procedural documentation for design and implementation purposes * Experience with package management and patching * Ability to diagnose and identify performance bottlenecks * Experience with implementing system interconnectivity with high availability and fault tolerance * Experience delivering third level support Desired Skills: * Web operations experience * Network and storage experience * Familiar with enterprise change control methods * Experience with HPUX * Experience with Memcached, Sphinx, and PHP
