Kforce is seeking Java Programmers for a Lanham / New Carrolton, Maryland area client. This is a 10 month contract with likely extension! The selected Programmers will perform the following functions: * Design, code, test, deug, implement, and document moderately complex J2EE SOA / Web Services software programs * Provide support for development of integrated Java-based services solution within a health care claims processing system The successful Programmer applicants will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Java SOA / Web Services development experience * J2EE Java programming experience * Experience in Apache Axis platform for creating and deploying Web Services applications * Experience in XML Schema, parser, XPath, and XQuery * Experience in hibernate * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Leadership skills to help with questions for less experienced personnel * Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and their team * Project management skills * Ability to work well as a team member or independently * Experience working with Relational Databases
