Kforce is currently seeking a SQL DBA for a 3 Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity located in Houston, Texas. A qualified candidate will be responsible for providing troubleshooting, administration, optimization, and performance analysis for SQL Databases in assistance to a data warehouse project. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * SQL administration and troubleshooting * SQL performance analytics * SQL optimization * Strong Windows server skills * Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook * Excellent attention to detail; accuracy is highly important * Excellent time management skills are required; with the ability to reprioritize and be flexible being essential * Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze all types of data * Ability to identify problems and provide solutions * Ability to work on projects of increased complexity under limited direction * Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Experience: * The selected SQL DBA must have 3-5 years of SQL DBA experience * Education: a BS Degree in a related field is preferred * Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 is a plus If you are interested in being considered as a candidate, please submit your resume for review.
