Kforce is seeking a Business Analyst for an Operations Facing position with a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania client. The role of the BA - Ops Facing Associate is to analyze business requirements and conceptualize them into focused use cases that address processes on the operations side of the project. This requires the ability to convert business requirements into process flows and determine the key data elements involved in transactions between systems. A focus on understanding existing processes and how to adapt them to new requirements is a key for this role. The successful Analyst applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Understanding of the use case concept and how to design focused activity / process flow diagrams Experience writing detailed functional requirements that cover all aspects of process changes to be implemented Ability to define high level data requirements (not at the detailed data model level, but essential elements for completion of a transaction) Ability to own the start to finish completion of the definition phase for assigned features, acting as the point of contact for Development, Quality Assurance, and Project Management A BA and process modeling skills are required You must also be able to create training documentation Key Skills: Analytical capabilities to break high level business requirements down into specific use cases, process flows, and functional requirements Ability to meet with business representatives to quickly map out existing processes as a starting place, and determine and document the requirements for conversion to new processes Excellent writing skills to create focused, unambiguous requirements Enough technical prowess to present functional requirements to Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Architecture teams as necessary, and address technical questions from the business requirement point of view Understanding of traceability concepts; ideally, experience with HP Quality Center to log requirements and establish traceability from functional to business requirements
