Position Description: Oversee the PMO for a highly complex, large scale, strategic IT initiative - SCAL ICD10 Activities include coordinating the delivery of multiple projects for 11 workstreams; developing cost benefit analyses for the program; communicating to an executive committee; creating and reporting program status utilizing a dashboard, tracking resource usage across the multiple projects, adhering to project governance policies, and managing the financial concerns of the program Be responsible for ensuring established PMO policies, system monitors and controls are adhered to ensure successful management of the ICD10 program Ensure program and project staff sees the impacts and interdependencies between projects / programs to ensure initiatives meet the goal of the leadership team Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities: Manage SCAL ICD10 PMO activities Some ICD10 Application remediation management for applications assigned Project plan, risk issue mitigation, and action item issues management Management statuses, scorecards, RPM, and budget functions Candidates must be able to utilize and effectively understand and communicate technical components (development and testing) of an initiative to business and IT stakeholders. Experience Level: 10-15 years Education and Skill Set: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred An Associate's Degree is required PMI Certified is preferred 3-5 years of application development experience are preferred Should also understand EDI, system interfaces, data analysis, and testing The Project Manager must have some experience working on a complex, large scale projects / programs ($1M or more) 2-3 years of experience in MS Project or MS Project Server, or SharePoint Must be self motivated, well organized, and have strong innovation and facilitation skills Proven oral and written communication skills Excellent business presentation skills Excellent analytical skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines including the business units Ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines Prefer candidates with experience in healthcare project management, healthcare information technology and systems, and implementation of ICD-9 or ICD-10 as well as HIPAA 4010 / 5010 remediation projects Top 3-5 Required Skills: Project Management skills to lead and coordinate across the program regarding PMO activities Technical ability to ascertain critical path for the program Strong communication skills Healthcare workflow knowledge Client communication and partnership skills Preference: ICD10 or 5010 knowledge
