Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Sybase Database Administrator for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in Jersey City, NJ. Required Skills: * Production support hands-on experience as a DBA supporting mission * critical systems. * 10 years hands on experience with Sybase ASE, including ASE 15 * including installation, configuration and tuning. * 5 years of experience of Sybase DB servers upgrades in Clustered * Sun or Linux environments. * 5 years of experience of Sybase Server migration and upgrades * with EMC SRDF & Cloned environments. * 3-5 years of hands on experience with monitoring tools iWatch, * SYSMON and MDA metrics. * 2-3 years experience with Sybase IQ, including installation, * configuration and tuning. * 2-3 years experience with MSSQL (versions 2000 2008) * installation, configuration and tuning. * Performance analysis and tuning skills including SQL queries and * index tuning, server configuration and tracing * 2-3 years of BMC Patrol monitoring * 2-3 years of Direct Connect for AS/400 administration and * troubleshooting. * 2 years of working with Control/M scheduler. * 5 years working on database security related processes and * products SGA is a Certified Womans Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base.
