Repair & Maintenance Technican Electro-Mechanical
Description EMPLOYMENT STATUS Full Time Regular ABOUT THIS JOB Due to growth and new business demands, we are currently seeking Repair and Maintenance Technicians to join an established team. The purpose of this position is to provide specialist support of maintenance activities on oilfield electro-mechanical equipment and/or surface instrumentation under minimal supervision in accordance with controlled and documented procedures. Competent personnel provide a variety of technical duties supporting the quality and reliability initiatives whilst delivering to the operational and functional requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques May build test fixtures Comfortable in mentoring lower mechanics and supporting team members Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures in accordance to BH policies Desired/Preferred Qualifications Technical diploma (HNC/ND) or Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical field or equivalent Versed in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS A proven background within a similar role - electro-mechanical function or relevant industrial knowledge / proven background (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic) Advanced abilities with soldering Advanced abilities assembling of electro-mechanical devices Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices. Proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes Advanced computer skills OTHER DETAILS Please note you may be required to travel locally between sites and/or to end clients’ offices so a UK driving licence and own transport is required.
