They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management. The Application Support Technical Specialist works within the Production Assurance group as a Project Lead to manage platform optimization and monitoring efforts and to improve platform performance while resolving chronic issues. - Job Description Candidate will work within the Production Assurance's Service Design and Optimization team, providing Project Management to monitoring, optimization and stabilization projects. The candidate is expected to: - Provide project coordination, project reporting, leadership and technical expertise to ongoing Production Assurance efforts. - Effectively review metrics, perform data collection and analysis and understand business workflow processes. - Provide status reports to application teams and senior management. - Assist with ongoing application and workflow implementation, monitoring alerting activities. - Review client architecture diagrams and workflows to document and recommend integration points for enhanced monitoring activities and enhanced support process implementations. - Work closely with change and release management teams to have an integrated approach to application production assurance. - Participate in Incident and Problem Management activities. - Participate in gathering, writing and reviewing of business requirements that can be translated into development requests. - Expert understanding of business process. - Communicate on various levels including business users, development and upward management. - Manage the availability and demand capacity of applications for the client and ensure problem management and resolution. - Review and develop updates of contingency documentation and processes. - Play a major role in coordinating issues between Development and Production Support Team. - Use initiative to play a major role in process improvement from within the team. - Function in a technical expert role for the production team. - Job Skills/Qualifications - Candidates with a proven history of Project Management and knowledge of PM tools and PMO best practices preferred. - Business Analysis and Technical Writing backgrounds a plus. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be an effective communicator. - Flexible, proactive and self motivated with a proven ability to assimilate and apply information rapidly and effectively. - Proven ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. - Experience working with diverse teams in multiple locations and cultures. - A minimum of 7 years experience with a Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Technology is essential. - Ability to provide clear and concise management reporting a must. - Proven application production support experience for global financial applications in an enterprise environment. 6119 Please see our complete list of jobs at: www.rmscorp.com
