Job Description: Quality Technician - This position is to perform inspection activities associated with First Article Inspection (FAI) per aerospace requirement AS9102 using a variety of gauging instruments and techniques. Essential to this role is the ability to: *Obtain/validate material/process certifications for component under FAI review. *Determine gauging necessary for inspection of features on the subject drawing. *Inspect components ranging from simple turned parts to complex machined castings. *Possess the ability to fully validate the AS9102 FAI for in-house and supplier components. *Possess the ability to create from scratch a full AS9102 FAI including the subsequent inspection. Preferred Qualifications: *Computer literate with Microsoft Office *Strong communication skills *Strong organization skills Job Experience: *Must have HS Diploma or equivalent *Proven layout inspection experience (Certified Mechanical Inspector a plus) *Proven experience with and knowledge of blueprint reading and basic GD&T *Possess the ability to use a of mechanical and electronic measuring equipment- calipers, mics, bore gages, height gage, indicators, profilometer, comparator, etc *Ability to interpret Coordinate Measuring Machine reports *Familiar with AS9012 requirements Minimum Education Required: High School Years of Experience Required: At Least 3 Years Keywords: Building Construction
