PMO Analyst / Project Coordinator
Princeton Information is seeking a Project Management Office Analyst for a full time position in the Tampa area. Position Overview The Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst serves as a liaison between the business units and the PMO by supporting the client s project management methodology, standards, policies and procedures. The Analyst will evaluate processes, research, develop, revise and implement new procedures for the PMO as well as train and provide support for project managers and team members. Duties and Responsibilities Administers department responsibilities by coordinating work and projects; manage various procedures and programs developed and facilitated by the Project Management Office using the fundamentals of project management. Evaluate and find opportunities to improve current processes, procedures, and systems in order to improve efficiencies and provide consistent quality service. Develop and implement new or revised programs, procedures and tools by d etermining documentation structure, scope, purpose and Client audience. Tests, validates, trouble shoots, develops, documents, updates, communicates and distributes, new/revised procedures, which may include working with other credit union departments, vendors or financial institutions. Supports internal departments by acting as a resource utilizing the materials the department publishes as well as mentoring new project managers and/or project team members. Respond to PMO Help Desk requests in an efficient manner in order to support staff/departments. Project manage own projects as well as projects assigned to the PMO using established client project management methodology; Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control & Close Phases. Provide and ensure accurate training content for HR Trainers on various software programs, procedures or policies to ensure proper interpretation of operations. Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise. Attends conferences, courses, seminars, workshops, and meetings that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the client s industry. Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements Bachelor s Degree in an information technology or business-related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation highly desired. (If not certified, must obtain certification within a reasonable amount of time.) 3-4 years minimum related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience to include 2-3 years direct experience in a project management capacity. Advanced computer, analytical, planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks. Clear, comprehendible verbal and written communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of banking principals, financial products and services as well as a professional, service-oriented demeanor. Work is substantially complex and varied and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures, in combination. Analytical ability, independent judgment and inductive thinking are required to adapt procedures and methods in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate and to develop new procedures. Decisions typically can affect the work of several departments or functional areas. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to work both independently and in a high functioning team -oriented environment, and be able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources. Must be able to work under minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
