Hello, I need to create a web-based, dropbox like system that has three separate features. 1) The ability to integrate with HotDocs document automation software (or a similar system like it) in order to automatically create legal documents. 2) The ability to have an online storage and exchange system, much like Box, DropBox, or one of their competitors. 3) The ability to compare documents and review changes to documents once they are inside the DropBox. I work for an entity that uses a lot of form-based legal documents that can largely be automated. This system would rapidly increase our ability to close deals more quickly. Here is how I envision the system working: Two parties agree to the terms and conditions of a mortgage loan. Those terms and conditions are set forth on a one to two page "Term Sheet". This Term Sheet will double as an input rubric for the HotDocs type document automation software. Once the terms are agreed upon, the parties will hit "Enter" on the term sheet, and the document automation system will populate a series of word documents with the terms and conditions of the loan at issue. After those documents are generated, they will be immediately deposited into a DropBox or Box type system. This system will contain one folder for a given job, that folder will contain a series of slots or additional folders for the documents. (As DropBox is currenlty figured, the documents would need to placed in a folder. I would prefer it if the documents could be placed in a slot instead of a folder. I can provide more details on this issue to the winner of the job.) The contributors to the project who have been given access to the documents will go into the system, check out a document, make any modifications that may be necessary, and the deposit an updated version of the document back into the DropBox type system. The DropBox system woudl then automatically compare the two versions of the documents and count the number of changes to the document. The number of changes to the document would appear in a red circle on the top right hand corner of the document (much like an update to IPhone App in the IOS interface). The next user could check out the revised document, make additional changes, and check the document back in. That version would have two bubbles. Top right in red would compare changes with the original version, bottom right in blue would count changes with the previous version. The documents would need to be able to be locked, so no further changes could be made, and time stamped. The system would need to be accessible through the web. Users would need to be able to work on multiple documents or projects at once. If someone can figure out how to take three existing programs (for example - HotDocs, Box, and WorkShare Compare) in order to run the document generation, sharing, and comparison system, that would work great.
